On the hills overlooking the sea

A splendid territory that of Planargia, with enormous possibilities, which should be brought to the world as a glorious
custodian of values that have been concentrated on Sardinian soil since ancient times.
This strip of western Sardinia, in the Oristano district, is represented by the municipalities of Bosa, Suni, Tinnura,
Flussio, Magomadas, Tresnuraghes and Modolo, and encloses like a treasure chest all the particularities that make it unique.
It's a tourist area — but not too much — in spite of a spectacularly beautiful coastline and a green hinterland
bordering the Montiferru massif (over 1,000 meters). From the sea to the mountains in a few kilometers:
the essence of Sardinia that has remained intact over time.
It's crossed by a river, the Temo, which has an unassailable singularity: it is the only navigable river in Sardinia.
Right on its banks stands Bosa, one of Sardinia's seven royal towns, a medieval village characterized by colorful houses and creeks lapped by clear, turquoise waters that rightly place it among the most beautiful towns in Italy.
Another peculiarity concerns wine: it is precisely here that a Malvasia like no other has always been cultivated.
Planargia is a place of ancient winemaking traditions;
we are only the recent episode in a long history
that began more than two thousand years ago.
Historically, the presence of the Malvasia vine in Sardinia dates back to the Byzantine period when it spread
to the hills of Planargia; some even speak of the Nuragic age (the area is rich in protohistoric evidence).
One thing is certain: Malvasia has settled here because of ideal conditions and, over the centuries,
has taken on an unrepeatable identity.
The result is unique product: a sip that is neither dry nor sweet, integrating the richness of aromas
of great oxidative wines, the aromatic exuberance typical of the grape variety and the olfactory subtleties
of Planargia's Mediterranean scrubland.
